Upgrading JotRod to Rails 3.1.3

When preparing to add some layout features to JotRod, I realized it was a Rails 3.0.9 application. Here’s a quick rundown on upgrading to Rails 3.1.3.

    i wounder why you don’t use ror cms, since you know all about it? this question is not only for you, i’ve seen people dedicated to python using wp and people saying that php sucks using wp and so forth…

    one small thing,  if i download this video from your site, it’s 164 mb, because it’s .mov so instead i go to youtube and download it as flv, it’s about 27 mb on youtube, so i think it’s better if you give us flv links, better for us coz we download smaller files and better for you, you save some bandwidth… I downloaded the flitter series and how to make a blog series and all from youtube

    i have some questions lol:

    does flitter work with ror 3?

    is jotrod like your flitter? i mean jotrod is a twitter clone right? i’m looking for a twitter clone to make adjustment to it and it like youtube lol, i’m a python guy so i’m working with django and pinax but decided to try ror coz big video sharing sites are built on ror, that’s why i decided to try ror :D i don’t know any video sharing site built with python/django, so i have no idea basically how good django is for that kind of sites :)

      I don’t believe flitter works on Rails 3.x, however, I don’t think it would be overly difficult to port it. Jotrod is like flitter in the sense that it’s a twitter clone. However, Jotrod uses Cassandra and doesn’t use ActiveRecord.

      I really need to start making videos again.

    yes you need to start making videos coz your videos are very useful :) people don’t like to read that much, videos are much more popular and, for example me, i’m the kind of guys who like to learn by example, so when you created your fltter series, i downloaded it, you do very good examples!
